PlayStation 4's much-delayed racing game DriveClub will be out on October 8, Sony has announced.
A PlayStation Plus Edition of DriveClub will also be available from that date, free for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
The game was to be a PlayStation 4 launch title but suffered through delays, with developer Evolution Studios stating last month that it was "going back to the drawing board".
"We planned for the game to be ready for early 2014 and are committed to delivering on our ambitious promise of creating a truly innovative, socially connected racing game," wrote Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida on PlayStation Blog.
"The problem with being ambitious is you have to be prepared to accept there will be challenges along the way.
"What DriveClub offers has not been previously achieved in this category and because of this, the team needed more time to give you the game you're waiting for."
Sony also announced that MotorStorm RC director Paul Rustchynsky has been at the helm of the project since February.
"He has been an integral contributor to all major titles coming out of Evolution Studios since 2004," wrote Yoshida.
