He might be hip hop's biggest motormouth, but Kanye West is keeping quiet about a possible New Zealand tour.

West will play five shows in Australia in May, but it seems his Kiwi fans have been left out in the cold.

However the tour's promoters have confirmed they are working on getting West to New Zealand too.

On their website, Live Nation have added the query to an official Q+A section, saying local dates haven't "been ruled out, but at present we have nothing to announce".

Tickets for the Australian shows start at AU$99.90, with keen fans able to pick up the Yeezus Party Package - which includes a pre-show party, tour gift and reserved seats - for AU$449.

West last played in New Zealand in 2008, and pulled out of the Big Day Out in 2012.
