Letterman to Travolta: Take me to NZ (+video)

David Letterman has asked actor and pilot John Travolta to fly him to New Zealand.

The late night talk show host asked Travolta, who is a certified pilot and owns five planes, to help him travel Down Under during an interview on his hit US chat show.

"Here's the thing, I'm trying to get to New Zealand. Can you get me to New Zealand?" Letterman asked Travolta.

"I will wine and dine you all the way to New Zealand, if you so choose," Travolta replied.

"I want the Bobby (Robert) De Niro service," said Letterman.

Letterman might want to think twice about his choice of pilot.

Travolta infamously had a near-miss experience with a Boeing 727 when he had an electrical system failure while flying into Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in 1992.
