Justin Timberlake has joked he should have scooped a "best bum grab" prize for his performance with Kylie Minogue at the 2003 Brit Awards.
The singer, who releases his latest album The 20/20 Experience next month, made his comeback performance at the British music awards ceremony this month, 10 years after his performance with the Australian pop star.
During the infamous duet, the actor-and-singer grabbed his co-star's bottom on stage, which became one of the most talked about pictures of the year.
"[What actually happened is that] she was falling down and I was grabbing her to stop her falling," Timberlake told BBC Radio One. "She sat down because she thought there was a chair on stage. I was like I'm not going to let her fall down ... so I should have won some sort of prize for that, like the 'best bum grab'."
During the awards Timberlake performed his new song Mirrors live for the first time.
It's the second single from his forthcoming album following Suit & Tie, a collaboration with Jay-Z.
It was recently announced that Timberlake and Jay-Z will be furthering their working relationship with a 12-city US/Canada tour in 2013.
"It's awesome working with Jay- Z, we have a lot in common," Timberlake said. "Jay's a self-made man and I'm kind of the same way. We had a lot of fun together and we've done a lot of records together."
