It's been a long time between albums for Kora, but fans will soon be rewarded with a new single, album and tour.
Kora are set to release the single Dreamlife off an as-yet untitled album due out later this year - the follow-up to 2007's hit debut Kora.
And in July the band will be playing two shows: The Station Village Complex in Lower Hutt on July 21, and July 28 at Auckland's Powerstation. Dan McGruer will play support.
Tickets for the shows go on sale this Thursday through Ticketmaster.
Meanwhile, Chicago's Hypnotic Brass Ensemble liked it here so much when they performed at Womad in 2010, they're coming back.
Comprised of eight brothers, the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble will perform at Auckland's Powerstation on July 20 and Wellington's Bar Bodega on July 21.
Pre-sale tickets are available from June 5, with a full release on June 7, through Ticketmaster.
