Rumours are rife that stadium-filling funk-rock outfit Red Hot Chili Peppers will perform in New Zealand next year.
In an interview with TimeOut, the band's bassist Flea said the Chilis would tour Down Under after their American tour, which kicks off in January.
But he couldn't be pinned down on exactly when the shows would be.
"I'm not too sure about the dates. I'm not very good with things like that," he said.
"But we're coming down there, man."
The interview was for his part in an episode of TV show 4Real which screens on the Travel Channel early next year.
The Chilis last performed in New Zealand in 2007, when they were among the first big bands to perform at Auckland's Vector Arena.
They played two sold out shows which received mixed reviews from critics.
I'm With You, the Chilis' latest album, was released earlier this year.
