Fans hanging out for the new Tintin film have been rewarded with new photos and a full-length trailer posted online.
The Adventures Of Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn is a joint collaboration between Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson and is due for release on December 26.
It is the first of a proposed trilogy of films based on the iconic books by Herge, which have sold more than 200 million copies worldwide.
Spielberg is directing the first, Jackson the second and the pair will share duties on the third.
New stills from the film - which stars Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost - were posted on Jackson's Facebook page overnight.
They show Captain Haddock (Serkis) firing a bazooka, Tintin (Bell) and Captain Haddock stowing away on a ship, and all new shots of Tintin's trusty dog Snowy.
A new trailer for the first Tintin film has also debuted, and amps up the drama as Haddock and Tintin go go searching for ancient treasure with help from detectives Thompson and Tomson and Professor Calculus.
A 3D version of Tintin, which uses motion capture to bring the characters to life and is being worked on by Weta Digital in Wellington, will also hit cinemas in December.
