Mark Owen sold London home for £1.5 million

Mark Owen has sold his London home for £1.5 (NZ $3,186,000) million.

The Take That singer is leaving the property in Wandsworth, south west London, because he wants to make a fresh start with his family after they endured a tough 2010 after he confessed to a string of affairs and admitted he was battling alcoholism.

Mark and his wife Emma Ferguson - who married in 2009 after being in a relationship since 2004 - bought the house, which has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, for £1.2 (NZ $2,549,000) million in 2006.

During their time in the house, the couple have had their two children, Elwood, four, and two-year-old Willow Rose.

The family are now looking to upgrade to a larger property within the same area.

According to Land Registry documents, the home was sold in February below the £1.6 million guide price.

Fans of the Kidz hitmaker were shocked in March 2010 when Mark, 39, admitted he had cheated on Emma, 32, with around 10 women throughout their relationship.

At the time, he said: "She loves me and I let her down. I'm really sorry. I have been an idiot, a d***head, a k***head. All of the above and more. It's about me, my mistakes. Nobody else is to blame. I don't know how many girls there were in all. Maybe 10."

Soon after, the star checked himself into The Priory rehabilitation clinic in London to be treated for alcohol abuse.
