A woman walks past a camera holding and talking into what looks like a mobile telephone.
An ordinary, every day scene - except this image was captured in 1928.
An Irish film-maker, George Clarke, says the footage is of a time traveller caught walking through a scene on a DVD of Charlie Chaplin's film,
The Circus
.
"The only conclusion I can come to - which sounds absolutely ridiculous I'm sure, to some people - is it's a time traveller," he says.
"When you're looking at a bit of 1928 footage with an old woman ... on a mobile phone, it's kind of strange. You can't explain it."
The scene can be found in the extras menu in Documents, under
The Hollywood Premiere
.
It is not in the film, rather it is a shot of a member of the public walking past the camera. The full clip can be viewed on YouTube.
Many sceptics have said it would have been impossible to use a mobile phone in 1928 due to there being no networks built to support them.
Others say this: She is a time traveller - whatever she has in her hand would probably not use technology common in 2010.
