The band featuring Damon Albarn and cartoon characters will play one New Zealand show on December 21.
Gorillaz, the core of whom - Albarn and Tank Girl creator Jamie Hewlett - began as a 'virtual Hip-Hop group', but quickly cast aside the side-project image and found critical and commercial success.
They headlined the first night of the Glastonbury festival in England, after Bono's back injury forced them to pull out.
Gorillaz will play Auckland's Vector Arena on December 21, tickets go on sale Friday August 6th.
