The increasingly ubiquitous Rhys Darby has yet another role - this time as the voice of an animated short film Fot: The Next Best Thing by Auckland director Alex Dronn, which is is screening as part of the Show Me Shorts film festival next month.
Forty short flicks from Australia and New Zealand will be played at the festival in which organiser Gina Dellabarca showcases the work of film-makers using cutting-edge techniques and ideas.
Her pick? An "animated film noir post-apocalyptic zombie" flick called A Break in the Monotony, by an Australian film team. The festival opens at the Academy Cinema on November 5.
