Oscar nominee Keisha Castle-Hughes has revealed acting isn't her number one career choice. The kiwi teen, in Australia to promote her latest film Hey Hey It's Esther Blueburger, is aiming high.
"I want to be a politician and maybe one day I will be (Prime Minister)," she told Australia's Daily Telegraph yesterday.
The 17-year-old, who gave birth to a daughter, Felicity-Amore, last year, is enrolled to begin a political science degree next year according to the Telegraph.
"I am not the last of my generation, so we need to save the world for everybody else because while the world has been here for forever in the last 50 years we have managed to really screw it up."
Castle-Hughes' next acting role is the movie adaptation of novel The Vintner's Luck, directed by Niki Caro, which began filming in Auckland last month.
