Break a leg, Lindsay Lohan!
As filming of Lifetime's upcoming Elizabeth Taylor biopic gets underway, we finally get a glimpse of wild child Lohan channeling the late screen siren.
It was announced earlier this year that Lohan, 25, had been cast as the legend in made-for-TV-movie Liz & Dick, which chronicles Taylor's tumultuous relationship with Welsh actor Richard Burton.
Lohan stars in the movie alongside former Outrageous Fortune actor Grant Bowler, who was recently cast as Burton.
Speaking of Bowler's casting, producer Larry Thompson told E! News: "We had seen him [Bowler] on tape and liked him but wanted to confirm the chemistry between the two. But this morning we had Lindsay and Grant come into a room at Lifetime and the chemistry exploded," he said.
"It was just Fourth of July firecrackers going off in the room. We knew from the chemistry that Liz and Dick live again.
"Chemistry means movie magic for sex," Thompson added.
"This movie will definitely have as much sex as Lifetime will allow. Richard Burton was quite older than Elizabeth Taylor. This is from a visual point of view just about equal to Liz and Dick. Visually speaking, it is a perfect match."
Cable network Lifetime has just released the first official image of Lohan in character as Taylor, alongside Auckland-born Bowler as Burton.
In the shot (above), Lohan is seen with Taylor's dark locks and trademark beauty mark, while Bowler kisses her neck.
TMZ has also obtained a series of snaps of LiLo in full wardrobe as Taylor, taken on the set of the movie over the weekend.
One snap shows the former child star decked out in a pleated emerald gown, with sculpted Taylor-esque eyebrows, and brunette 'do.
The website reports that Lohan has cut and dyed her hair dark, but will wear a series of wigs for the role.

Lohan's rep Steve Honig said of Lohan's take on Taylor: "I was standing there last week for publicity shots and prep when Lindsay and Grant walked on set for the first time in full makeup and costume, and it took everyone's breath away," he told the New York Daily News.
"It was like being on set with Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. It was really a moment."
The film, which began principal photography in Los Angeles on Monday, is expected to debut on the network in November.
