Fiona Kirk has been appointed to the position of human resources manager at FITEC. FITEC is the Industry Training Organisation for the forestry, wood manaufacturing, furniture, bio security and credit management industries. Kirk has extensive HR experience and has contracted across a variety of large organisations since 2005 including NZ Post, Telecom and most recently at ASB Bank.

Jackie Paul has joined Buddle Findlay's Christchurch office as a solicitor in the litigation team. Jackie specialises in employment law and civil litigation. She most recently practised in the UK as an in-house employment lawyer.

Bassam Maghzal has joined Buddle Findlay's Christchurch office as a senior solicitor in the corporate and commercial team. Bassam specialises in commercial and business matters and has a special interest in franchising.

Jos Kunnen has joined location intelligence specialists Critchlow Ltd as chief executive officer. Kunnen was CIO of Contact Energy from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, he was the Australasian general manager of consulting and systems integration for Hewlett Packard, where he worked for 15 years.

Kim Sutton has been appointed as the new human resources manager at international property services company, DTZ. She previously spent nine years with Accor Hospitality in a number of roles and specialises in change management and staff development.

DTZ have also appointed Russell Clark to the position of Auckland valuations manager. Previous valuations manager, Mark Parlane, takes on the role of national valuations director.

Frank Willett has taken up the role of general manager, Vehicle Inspection New Zealand (VINZ) from early May. He replaces Chris Drake. Willett, formerly technical services manager of the Independent Motor Vehicle Dealers Association (IMVDA) was also a VINZ Testing Station branch manager, and vehicle compliance operations manager.

Matt Ensor has recently been appointed general manager - transportation at Beca. In this new role Matt will focus on Beca's national traffic engineering and transport planning services. Matt graduated from the University of Auckland with a civil engineering degree in 1990 and later combined this with qualifications in sociology and management. He has spent twelve years with Beca.

Regus has appointed a general manager for its New Zealand operations. Jasen Crompton will oversee domestic business, and any future expansion, from Regus' Auckland offices at 41 Shortland Street, CBD. Crompton joins Regus New Zealand from Regus UK. Prior to Regus, he worked for Nestle and Vodafone in the UK in a number of key roles across project management, sales and marketing and retail management.

Maurice Prendergast has been appointed as an independent, non-executive director to Comvita's board. Mr Prendergast has been the managing director of Pumpkin Patch since 1993.

Transfield Services has appointed Steve Webster to the role of executive general manager, facilities management.
