A person is in critical condition and two others are also in hospital after a mass brawl involving up to 30 young people in Otahuhu last night.
Police have been at the scene today, investigating the brawl and collecting evidence.
A large rock was found on the road behind a silver car, which had its windows down and a smashed windscreen.
A second car with a smashed, caved in windscreen was also found at the scene.
Police said weapons were used in the fight, which broke out on Mangere Rd, Otahuhu, about 10:20pm.
Three people were admitted to Middlemore Hospital. One has been transferred to Auckland Hospital in a critical condition.
A staff member at nearby Otahuhu College said a portion of Mangere Rd near Great South Rd was cordoned off this morning.
A police spokesperson said a section of the footpath is cordoned off at the top of Mangere Rd, near Piki Thompson Way.
Piki Thompson Way is closed to pedestrians and cars.
