Police are today still searching for the hammer-wielding man and his accomplice involved in traumatic aggravated robbery in Tauranga last night.
The Cameronian Dairy, on Cameron Road, was targeted by two men about 5.10pm.
The men entered the store with one threatening the female worker with a hammer before ripping the till's cash box from the counter as he fled.
The second man can be seen on video footage appearing to keep watch at the entrance to the dairy as the robbery is taking place.
The men also stole a quantity of cash and cigarettes.
Police said this afternoon that both men left in a dark-coloured Nissan sedan which travelled down 17th Avenue and up Clarke Street, behind Tauranga Hospital.
Nobody was hurt during the robbery, but the victim was extremely traumatised and is receiving assistance from Victim Support, Detective Sergeant Alan Kingsbury said.
Mr Kingsbury said someone in the community would have knowledge of those involved and could hold the key to solving the robbery.
