A vehicle is being sought after an armed robbery at a Westpac bank in Petone.
Wellington police are seeking sightings of a stolen car in relation to an aggravated robbery at the bank on Jackson St, just before noon today.
The vehicle, a grey Nissan Pulsar with the registration BBH191, was seen in the area at 11:45 this morning.
It was later found abandoned in Memorial Park Petone.
No one was injured in the robbery.
Police, including at least two armed officers, were seen at the bank.
"There's heaps of cops inside," Taz Walker, an employee at a nearby restaurant, told Fairfax.
At least four police officers and a small forensic team were at the scene, she said.
