It was a police car chase - but in reverse.
A Blenheim man is now facing serious charges after allegedly "following" in his car police who had earlier served him a warning this morning.
In a statement, Marlborough Police said officers had visited the man at his home in the Wairau Valley to issue him a notice forbidding him from driving heavy vehicles.
The 38-year-old then "became upset" and threatened officers.
"When the officers left the property the man got into a vehicle and followed them for several kilometres," police said.
"His manner of driving was of concern and he was stopped and arrested."
He now faces charges of threatening to kill and dangerous driving and is due to appear in Blenheim District Court on Monday.
