Eastern Waikato police have seized firearms, drugs and what appeared to be a dismantled meth lab in two Hauraki properties.
Detective Sergeant Martyn Hughes said police, with the help of the Waikato Armed Offenders Squad, searched properties in Turua and Paeroa this morning.
Police found two firearms and a quantity of cannabis in the Turua address.
Mr Hughes said a man in his 40s assisted police with inquiries.
Police found a pistol and what appeared to be a disassembled methamphetamine laboratory in an industrial site of Paeroa.
"An Auckland-based Clan Lab team is currently conducting a forensic analysis of the scene and a 37-year-old woman is assisting us with our inquiries into this property," he said.
The pair might be faced with firearms and drug related charges, Mr Hughes said.
"Given the success of last month's methamphetamine-related warrants in Te Aroha and today's activities, I believe the benefits of the community working with the police to reduce the harms from drugs is becoming readily apparent."
Police urge anyone with information on illegal drug activity or concerns to contact your local police.
