A man accused of trying to kiss teenage girls on Auckland's North Shore may have been insane when he made his advances.
The man, who has name suppression, faces 10 charges of indecently assaulting females.
One of those related to a 15-year-old girl, who he approached at a Takapuna bus stop, attempting to kiss her several time.
Police said the girl and her older sister found his behaviour "creepy".
The other charges relate to young women over the age of 16.
It is alleged the 35-year-old approached the victims in public places, including in Takapuna and Westgate, and repeatedly tried to kiss them.
He appeared in the North Shore District Court this afternoon.
While he had been found fit to plea, a report before the judge today found that he may have been insane at the time.
He has been remanded to enable the prosecution to consider its position.
The man will reappear in court next week.
