Staff at a Mt Roskill liquor outlet were threatened with a long-barrelled black handgun during a robbery last night.
The two staff at Melrose Wines, Beers and Spirits were confronted just before closing time, about 10.40pm, and robbed of alcohol and cash.
Police have released images of two men who they believe are responsible, both described as Maori or Polynesian men aged in their early 20s.
One was of medium build, about 1.78m tall, with a moustache and beard/goatee. He was wearing a brown/mustard camouflage jacket with big pockets on the front and black pants.
The other man was of more solid build but the same height, police said.
He had long, matted hair tied back, and a moustache and beard. He was wearing a black jersey/hoody, light grey baggy shorts to mid-calf, and black sneakers.
Both men left the scene in a white four-door hatchback or sedan.
