A man with a foot fetish has been kicked out of the University of Auckland after taking illicit photos of female students' feet.
The man had been stalking the grounds of the country's largest university trying to photograph young women's feet.
Police were called after two women in separate incidents were snapped by a man in the central library.
"There have been two reported incidents of a male taking pictures of women's feet in the library.
"Campus security was alerted and this individual was verbally warned not to return to the premises," said a university spokeswoman.
The incidents occurred on July 21 and 24.
The spokeswoman said the matter was with the police and there would be no further comment.
Last week the campus security service posted a message on a university Facebook page saying it was trying to gauge the movements of an Asian man asking students to pose for photographs in the library and adjoining student commons area.
Some students said they had seen a man fitting the description taking pictures of students' feet and shoes in the first semester.
Police said they were unable to comment.
