Christchurch murderer Helen Milner has filed an appeal against her convictions.
She was found guilty of killing her husband Philip Nisbet by giving him a fatal dose of the drug Phenergan to cash in on his $250,000 life insurance payout.
Milner was sentenced last month to life with a minimum non parole period of 17 years.
The Court of Appeal registrar says she has applied for an appeal against her two convictions of murder and attempted murder.
