Good news for Brendon McCullum; the Decision Review System will be in for New Zealand's home international series against England early next year.
The New Zealand opener was the latest victim of an umpiring blunder in the first innings of the second test against Sri Lanka this week, adjudged lbw by South African official Marais Erasmus for four, despite getting a solid inside edge.
Sri Lankan officials weren't prepared to cough up for the cost of the DRS.
However New Zealand Cricket chief executive David White confirmed the Virtual Eye system, provided by Dunedin-based Animation Research, will be in use for the England series.
That visit includes three tests, beginning in Dunedin on March 6, and White is confident it will also be used for the trip to South Africa next month.
There are four test series going on around the globe. India are 1-1 with England in India; Australia are 0-0 going to a decider in Perth against South Africa this week; and Bangladesh have just lost their home series 2-0 against the West Indies.
In only the Australia-South Africa series is the DRS system in use.
