A US rapper has cancelled his upcoming Australian tour after being denied entry to the country because of his criminal charges. His New Zealand shows have been postponed.
The rapper in question, Waka Flocka Flame, was arrested recently on firearms and drug charges, according to Robin Fernando, who was promoting the rapper's New Zealand tour.
Because of his criminal charges, the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection have denied him entry to perform in the country.
Fernando said a visa into New Zealand had been approved for the rapper's Auckland and Wellington gigs, but because his shows in Broome, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne were cancelled the whole tour has been postponed.
Fernando, who was promoting the shows in conjunction with Illusive Entertainment, said the rapper's tour dates would be rescheduled for later this year.
Ticket holders will be contacted for an immediate refund by Non Stop Tix.
