The Warehouse today opened its tiniest new store, a click-and-collect pop-up smaller than many apartments at only 30sq m, all without any inventory.
Craig Jordan, chief digital officer, released information about the new Red Shed in Auckland where online customers can pick up for collections.
The store, which opened at 8am, is in Customs Street in the city's CBD.
"If you're at home in the evening, but work in the city, you can shop after work, knowing you can pick up from Customs Street the next day during a break from work," Jordan said.
Customers could shop at the store, but will do so via the store's 'Endless Aisles' service, and pay by credit or debit card, as the store is cashless, the statement said.
"Endless Aisles is an innovation available in all The Warehouse stores and links checkouts with The Warehouse website. It enables all stores access to the full range online and make that available to customers at checkout," the statement said.
The Warehouse operates a large store in Precinct Properties' Downtown Shopping Centre between Customs St West and Lower Albert St.
Precinct will soon demolish that shopping centre to build its 36-level office tower with a new mall on that site.
