Daring tourists will soon be able to take a nerve-wracking walk 300 metres high between two cliffs - with a clear view of the bottom.
Workers in China were last week photographed installing the first piece of glass on what will be the world's longest and highest glass-bottom bridge.
Designed by Israeli architect Haim Dotan, the bridge is located in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in the Hunan province.
It clocks in at 430 meters long and six meters wide, and hangs over a terrifying 300 metre drop.
When open, it will be able to hold 800 people at a time.
The glass-bottom bridge will be the stage for the world's highest bungee jump and will also be used as a runway for fashion shows.
Construction on the bridge was expected to be finished in 2015, but the impressive structure will now open in May this year.
However, some tourists may be a little wary of stepping out - tourists ran screaming when cracks appeared on a similar glass walkway among the mountains in Yuntaishan Scenic Park, in the central Henan province.
The incident occurred only two weeks after the walkway opened, but park officials said damage was only superficial and there was no danger to the public.
