Tuscany is well-suited to a walking pace and there is much to absorb.
It has some of the best-preserved medieval towns in Europe with their romanesque churches and buildings, and you can walk through rolling hillsides, vineyards, olive groves and forests alive with colour.
Tuscany offers many gastronomic delights: pecorino cheese, wild boar and porcini mushrooms. And this is also the home of Chianti wine.
Sherpa offers several independent inn-to-inn walks such as the seven-day Treasures of Tuscany, with departures from April to October.
Accommodation could be anything from small B&Bs to substantial hotels. Your baggage is carried from hotel to hotel so you can enjoy the walks with just a small day pack.
