A choice of touring a new 30-level office building in Sydney's heart or seeing the new 360-unit King's St Wharf apartment complex under construction are just two of the options for delegates at the Property Council's conference next month.
Details of site tours on August 6 and a list of speakers at the conference on the next two days were sent out this week.
Property Council national director Chris Simpson said this was the first time the conference had gone overseas. The conference has been held in Tauranga, Wellington and Christchurch lately, but taking the investors from here to Sydney was a way to show them a bigger picture, give them new ideas and enable delegates to get the best out of the organisation, he said.
Delegates have a choice of tours - commercial, multi-unit residential apartments, shops or factories. The new head office of Lend Lease at 1 Hickson St and Principal Global Investor's new 43,000sq m head office at 126 Phillip St are the two office buildings on offer during a four-hour walking tour.
The largest open-air shopping centre in Australia - AMP's Warringah Mall - is on the retail tour, with David Jones' new food hall at Manly Wharf and Lend Lease's $192 million Erina Fair Mall. The 377ha Norwest Industrial Park and Macquarie Goodman's Greystanes Industrial Park are on the factory tour.
