1. Food
What's happening with food prices? At 10.45am, Statistics NZ will release statistics on May food prices.

2. Wellington
New premises will be opened today for Maritime New Zealand's Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Lower Hutt.

3. Tax
The Deloitte tax seminar is on today at Deloitte House, 10 Brandon St in Wellington.

4. Fieldays
The biggest event on the farming calendar opens at Hamilton's Mystery Creek tomorrow. One events is being held in advance of the four-day extravaganza. The primary industries champions initiative will be launched today at the Fieldays Headquarters, Mystery Creek.

5. Court
NZX v Ralec continues in Wellington. The operator of the New Zealand Stock Exchange is in court with Ralec, the developers of Clear, a Melbourne-based grain trading business.

The judge-alone trial is expected to last up to nine weeks.

6. Overseas
Retail sales data is out from the United States, industrial production data from Europe, CPI data from Britain, industrial production information from Japan and in Australia, the NAB survey is due.
