1. Stride
Making big Strides: this NZX listed real estate business headed by Peter Alexander is due to release its annual result at 8.30am. Stride owns NorthWest, the big mall on Auckland's north-western fringes which was only completed and opened last year and was subsequently reported to be quiet during the long, hot summer.

2. Turners
A result is due out from today from Turners, the financial services business with wholly owned trading subsidiaries Dorchester Finance, Oxford Finance, DPL Insurance , EC Credit (debt recovery) and Turners Group (auctions, fleet and finance).

3. Politics
Prime Ministes John Key's weekly press conference is due to be held this afternoon.

4. United States
Memorial Day there today, so their markets are closed.

5. Europe
Consumer confidence data is due out today.

6. Britain
Spring bank holiday means their markets are closed too.

7. Japan
Retail sales data is due out today.
