Businesswoman Annabel Cotton and politician-turned-banker Simon Power were this year's recipients of Infinz fellowships.
Cotton, a director of Merlin Consulting, is one of New Zealand's leading investor relations practitioners, having created the programmes used by Telecom (now Spark) and Air New Zealand.
Former Commerce Minister Power is now Westpac New Zealand's general manager of business banking and wealth.
While holding the commerce portfolio he oversaw the introduction of the Financial Markets Conduct Bill, the result of a once-in-a-generation overhaul of securities law.
That bill took into account the recommendations of the Capital Markets Taskforce, which was headed by past Infinz fellow Rob Cameron, of Wellington investment bank Cameron Partners.
The judges said Cotton and Power had made a significant contribution to Infinz and to the wider capital markets.
