The annual INFINZ (Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand) Industry Awards attracted more than 500 professionals from across the country.
The top leadership award went to Ryman Healthcare managing director Simon Challies.
Craigs Investment Partners research analyst Arie Dekker won the analyst of the year gong and sharebroking firm of the year went to First NZ Capital.
Milford Asset Management was equity fund manager of the year and OnePath was bond fund manager of the year.
Merger and acquisition transaction of the year was shared across a range of parties for the demerger of Chorus from Telecom.
Goldman Sachs Australia was the lead demerger adviser, while Cameron Partners was the ultra-fast broadband and M&A adviser, Citibank was adviser on the debt demerger. Credit Suisse (Australia) and First NZ Capital were demerger advisers and board adviser on ultra-fast broadband.
Excellence in treasury went to Auckland Council.
Debt issue of the year went to Cameron Partners and PricewaterhouseCoopers and the equity issue of the year award went to Deutsche Bank, Craigs Investment Partners, Goldman Sachs NZ and UBS NZ.
