Miley Cyrus calls Twilight fans a 'cult'

Suck in your guts, Twi-hards, and prepare for a bombshell: Tween franchise sensation smiley Miley Cyrus is not a Twilight fan, in fact she hates it.

Turns out the Disney darling, who just signed up to star in Wings, a fantasy flick produced by the bods behind Twilight, is not a fan of vampires or wolves and just can't sink her teeth (sorry) into the franchise.

We know, it's like someone just ran over a duckling.

Gas-bagging during an interview on US radio, Cyrus was asked whether she was a disciple of Team Edward or Team Jacob. Turns out she's neither.

"I've never seen it and nor will I ever," Cyrus, 16, said.

"I don't believe in it," she continued.

"I don't like vampires. I don't like the wolf that pops out of the screen when I'm watching my TV at night. I don't like it. I don't want anything to do with it. I don't like the shirts.

I don't like any of it."

We get it, she doesn't like it.

"And like, it's just, I feel it's like, seriously, it's like people get like really into it. And maybe it's 'cause I'm like people always like fall in love with the characters, I don't know. It makes me not like, I don't know. I'm not into it," she added.

We like, totally get it now, she doesn't like it.

Later in the interview she concedes that she's probably a party of one when it comes to Twi-bashing.

"I feel really lame because everyone's, like, so excited," she said.

"I'm like, 'Don't even talk about it.'"
