Creavive Bay of Plenty Arcade Arts is back, this time teaming up with Tauranga writers to celebrate New Zealand Book Week with a free public event tomorrow.
"Though Tauranga writers concentrate on words, we believe all the arts should interact, because it's all creative, isn't it?," says president Jenny Argante, who is also editor-in-chief of Freelance-Writers Helping Writers.
"Arcade Arts events allow this kind of interaction to happen."
The Arcade Arts Event brings together a group of local authors, who will be sharing stories and advice on the writing process, as well as offering interactive activities for both children and adults. Their books will be on sale in Creative Bay of Plenty's gift shop.
Other local writers are encouraged to go along to the Tauranga Library Arcade and discuss their own writing projects. The Green Wizard will be on hand to talk about growing food and flowers with children. Other activities include free children's face-painting, stories for children, sing-along with Rebecca, make a paper flower for mum, and colour in the Word Wizard as pavement art.
