Searchers scouring through Bay of Plenty bush to find a woman lost in the Kaimai Range have now found her.
Police and Land Search and Rescue teams from Tauranga, Waihi and Paeroa were searching for the 35-year-old who had been missing for more than 24 hours.
Sheree Tuahuru was believed to be missing in the north end of the Kaimais.
Police said the Katikati resident told her partner she was going to walk to the Ananui Falls off Woodland Rd yesterday. She began her walk about 11am but had not returned.
Police were alerted that she was overdue just after midnight this morning.
Tuahuru was not prepared to be in the bush overnight, police said.
Police have since said Tuahuru has been found, located near the Waitawheta Hut.
Sergeant Craig Madden of police search and rescue said the successful outcome of this outcome was due to the fact the missing party had left her trip intentions with family.
Madden said anyone entering the bush needed to made sure they did not exceed their own expectations and not to rely on maps printed off the internet or a cell phone as means of navigation.
Police thanks the Land Search and Rescue and the Amateur Radio Emergency Communication Group for their help.
Police are asking any trampers who were in the area or at the Waitawheta Hut in the past 24 hours to contact Sergeant Craig Madden on 07 577 4300.
