The upcoming Tauranga Marley concert will support the Kaikoura earthquake relief efforts, in the spirit of Bob Marley's vision of unity and 'one love'.
Concert-goers would be able to add another ticket to their purchase for a donation of either $10 or $25 to support the Red Cross earthquake appeal.
Organisers of the MARLEY NZ All-Stars concert announced they would support the Red Cross appeal through the December 9 concert in Tauranga.
The money raised would go directly to the Red Cross, which would ensure it got to those communities who needed it most following the 7.8 magnitude South Island earthquake last week.
The option to add another ticket for a donation applied to all current general admission ticket holders and any general admission purchases made between 9am November 25 until midnight December 2.
Purchases must be made online.
A variety of New Zealand's biggest artists were playing homage to Bob Marley at the concert - including Tiki Taane, Boh Runga, Logan Bell, Ria Hall, Laughton Kora, Jason Kerrison, Anna Coddington, Fran Kora and P Digsss.
The musicians would perform many of Bob Marley's classics such as Get Up Stand Up, Buffalo Soldier, No Woman No Cry and One Love.
The Modern Maori Quartet would open the Tauranga concert.
The concert would be held at Wharepai Domain on December 9.
