The PostShop and Kiwibank will stay in Greerton and is no longer looking for a business to deliver postal and banking services on its behalf.
In June last year New Zealand Post announced it was looking to close its shop in Greerton and transfer the banking and post services to another business.
The decision was reviewed and the PostShop would stay in its current spot for now, NZ Post general manager for retail distribution Tracey Berry said.
"At the moment we have decided to keep the PostShop at 202 Chadwick Rd in the busy Greerton shopping centre as it is - offering a full range of postal, banking and courier services."
"A fair bit" had changed since announcing the intention to transfer services, especially regarding competitor banks and a new business development, Ms Berry said.
"This has been an uncertain time for our staff in Greerton and we are grateful to their service and will continue to work closely with them as we let our customers know that there will be no changes at the branch in the foreseeable future."
