Police and ambulance officers have been called to reports of a possible stabbing in Papamoa.

Police recieved a 111 call about 5pm after an incident at Topaz Reserve.

A police spokesman said officers were in the midst of being at the scene and investigating reports of what might have been a stabbing ''but it's still too early to say''.

''There is certainly an incident at that location that we've been called to.''
