The employers of a man killed at a Bay of Plenty quarry have been ordered to pay $100,000 to the family.

Last April a 24-year-old father of one died at a Bay quarry after he was thrown from a fully laden dump truck.

Yesterday in Tauranga District Court the employer, Oropi Quarries Limited, and its sole director Catherine Renner were fined, ordered to pay $100,000 in emotional harm reparations to the man's family.

Oropi Quarries was also fined a further $54,000 and Ms Renner $9,600.
