Power outage in Te Puke

Power has been restored to part of Western Bay of Plenty while an outage has just hit Papamoa.

About 846 properties in Te Puke were without power due to an unexpected outage about 7.40am. Power came back on to Te Puke just after 9am.

In Papamoa, about 1609 properties lost power about 8.50am.

Powerco states the cause for both outages was under investigation.

Power for Papamoa is expected to be restored by 12.30pm.
