Charges laid in Tauranga P lab bust

Charges have been laid following a police raid on a P lab in residential Tauranga today.

A 24-year-old man has been charged wih possessing equipment for the manufacture of methamphetamine.

A 27-year-old man has been charged with the supply of and possession for supply of methamphetamine.

Both men will appear in Tauranga District Court tomorrow.

A 27-year-old woman will appear in Tauranga District Court on Thursday charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug utensils.

Armed police have blocked off a section of bureta this morning as the raid got underway.

A heavy police presence which includes armed officers and police dogs have cordoned off a section of Ngatai Rd, near the Chapel St end, since about 9am.

Detective Senior Sergeant to the Bay of Plenty Times the search warrant was in relation to a clan lab, and was made with assistance from specialist groups including the Armed Offender Squad.
