A camper van went up in flames on a Te Matai Rd property this morning.

Fire Northern Communications Centre shift manager Jarron Philips said firefighters were called to the property about 10.30 am and arrived to find the campervan well involved in fire.

There was no one at home at the time, he said.

The fire investigator has been called to determine the cause of the blaze.
