The consultation on the proposed sale of land and establishment of a Special Housing Area at Smiths Farm closed November 23 with 211 submissions received from interested and affected parties.
Submissions mainly focussed on access to the proposed future development and a preference for rural residential development rather than suburban residential development.
Hearings will be held on December 2, starting 2.30pm, with 22 submitters scheduled to come speak to Council in support of their submissions.
The hearings will help to inform Council's decisions.
