NZ International Film Festival
When: Saturday and Sunday, 10am-11pm
Where: Rialto Cinema
The festival, which runs to September 13, brings the best and brightest of world cinema straight to local screens. It includes The Assassin - its director won the Best Director Award at Cannes.
Tauranga Night Market
When: Every Saturday, 6pm -11pm
Where: Bayfair
Up to 150 stalls including amazing food and delicacies from around the world. Arts and crafts, jewellery, clothing, fashion and technology accessories. Fresh produce, live entertainment, cultural performers, fortune-tellers, foot massage, airbrush tattoos and more. Entry free, lots of free car parking.
