A two-car crash brought down a power pole onto a main Mount Maunganui Rd tonight.
Acting shift commander Sergeant Mark Holmes said the power pole came down on Maunganui Rd near Dee St at 5pm.
He believed no one had been injured in the crash.
During a heavy downpour of rain only hours after the crash in Mount Maunganui, two separate accidents happened in Tauranga central.
Two cars collided on 11th Ave between Cameron Rd and Christopher St about 6.50pm.
Shortly after, another two cars were involved in a crash on 15th Ave near Mayfair St at 7pm.
Mr Holmes said the west-bound lane was blocked to traffic for a short time.
No one was injured in either crash, he said.
Mr Holmes said the crashes appeared to be weather related and reminded people to take care while driving.
