Roku Mihinui of Rotorua was also re-appointed as a trustee.
The two trustees, whose terms were due to expire on May 31, have each been appointed for further terms of four years each, effective June 1.
As well as being a Tauranga City Councillor, Mr Morris is seeking selection as the National Party candidate for the Hon Tony Ryall's seat of Bay of Plenty.

"Karla has contributed well to Eastern Bay's involvement in the total BayTrust arena and we will miss her gentle manner and in particular the very caring approach she brought to her Dillon Scholarship Committee work," she said.
