Mount Maunganui and the Western Bay Invitation XI won the respective Western Bay Reserve and B Grade T20 championships on Saturday.
The first-past-the-post reserve grade title race was dominated throughout by Mount Maunganui, which won all four of their T20 encounters during the past two weekends.
Mount got past arch-rivals Katikati, before defeating Greerton in the final round to claim the title for the second year running.
Te Puke continued their second half of the season renaissance to finish in second place. They lost to Cadets in round three before brushing aside the Katikati challenge in the final stanza. Cadets stood alone in third place with a two-win, two-loss record, while Tauranga Boys' College, Greerton and Katikati finished equal on four points apiece.
The Western Bay of Plenty Invitation XI, comprising players from Western Bay of Plenty secondary schools, won the B Grade T20 title against Cadets in fine style.
The Invitation XI posted 174/3, with Bethlehem College batsman Jack Presto leading the way with his side's top score of 76. He shared in an opening stand of 60 with Bill Burnett (37), with Mitch Fairweather chipping in with a handy 28 runs. Cadets made a determined bid for victory before falling for 154.
Reagan Collins was the pick of the winning team's bowlers with three wickets for just 11 runs.
Wanderers rebounded from early round disappointments to beat Katikati in the battle for fifth place. Dion Bartosh smashed an unbeaten 104, with Chris Uden scoring an undefeated 87 runs.
