Two man had to be flown to hospital after a car crash on Matakana Island.
The Rotorua-based BayTrust Rescue Helicopter was called to the island this morning.
Pilot Art Kowalski said a 34-year-old man suffered lower leg injuries and a 49-year-old man suffered neck and chest injuries. They were both taken to Tauranga Hospital for further treatment.
The Rotorua chopper was also called to the Pongakawa Race Course about 6.30pm yesterday to airlift an injured motorcross rider.

Mr Kowalski said the 49-year-old Te Puke man had fallen from his bike and suffered concussion as well as chest injuries.
He was also taken to Tauranga Hospital for further treatment.
