Girl breaks ankle after being hit by car

Police are urging the driver of a "white-people mover'' who allegedly struck a 16-year-old girl on Otumoetai Rd at about 12.42am yesterday to come forward to talk to them.

The girl was treated at Tauranga Hospital for a suspected broken ankle and discharged.

Anyone else in the area at the time is also asked to call Tauranga police on 577 4300 or phone the Crimestoppers line anonymously on 0800 555 111.
